Hello! It’s been a while again. Just going to summarise a few events here and there but I guess the biggest surprise was coming back onto this site and realising that I couldn’t edit anything! There seems to be a big conflict in the coding side that forced me to remake my Demo Reel page. Of which I’ve updated a bit at last! But not the reel that I was hoping to change, but a change is a change and this change is good!
New Microphone (TLM 103)
The main reason for the delay is that I’ve gotten a new Microphone! The Neumann TLM 103! And it was bargain on Ebay to be honest. So my previous recording done on my Blue Baby Bottle SL microphone didn’t feel adequate any more, so I need to redo that new reel that I actually did do a few months ago. If anyone’s interested, I made a comparison video between the two microphones!

And what other changes you may ask…? When I was sending out things to prospective clients and I re-listened to some of audio I recorded in the past, I felt total embarrassment. They just weren’t good enough! Nearly 5 years of experience from that initial recording and I can tell that it was just not up to scratch. So I’ve re-recorded those lines here since all the music/SFX were all ready and sorted:

Upcoming Video Content
I’m currently assembling more video content with all the work that I’ve done, and for one of my favourite projects, 3 Minute Science I actually recorded myself recording myself! Which is a rare insight to my facial expressions.
Streaming Sponsors
In the streaming side of things, I was chuffed to find two sponsored invitations (HelloFresh and Raid: Shadow Legends). It gave some extra purpose towards streaming and boosted my motivation. I can’t wait to stream more things and I hope to make a new intro soon too!
Random Advice
So my advice to anyone reading, just re-listen to some of the things you’ve done in the past, if anything, hopefully you can detect that you’ve improved. And if you have the time, why not re-record it again? This is after all, likely the first impression that people hear, so I wanted to make this change swiftly! Though.. it took me years to do. Hopefully you can do it better than me!
